Area Expert Privacy Policy / Area Expert
Area Expert (Android, com.area.expert) by FarukLabs (faruklabs.com) helps with land work: measuring, mouza maps, area and unit conversion, khatian, shares and reports. Most tools work without an account. This page says what the app uses and why. Updated: 28 October 2026.
Location
Used only while the app is open, to take corners, measure and show your place on the map. It stays on your phone in your land files. It leaves the phone only in files you export or share yourself. No background location.
Camera
Used for camera measuring and photos you take in the app. Photos stay on your phone and go out only in files you share.
Google Play Services for AR (ARCore)
This application runs on Google Play Services for AR (ARCore), which is provided by Google LLC and governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
Maps and mouza map files
Map pictures are loaded from Esri, OpenStreetMap or Google Maps, and mouza map files from Google Drive. These services receive the normal request data (such as your IP address and the map area being viewed); FarukLabs does not send them your account details. When you search for a place, only the name you type is sent to OpenStreetMap Nominatim (nominatim.openstreetmap.org) to find it on the map; nothing else about you is sent.
FarukLabs account (optional)
Only if you sign in: your name, email or phone and a sign-in id (Google Firebase) are kept by FarukLabs on faruklabs.com to give premium. A random id for this phone, the phone model and the app version go with it to manage your devices.
Purchases
Purchases are made through Google Play. Google Play handles the payment; FarukLabs receives only the purchase details needed to check it on the server and turn on premium. We never see your card or payment details.
Settings, counts, help requests and reports
The app asks faruklabs.com for its settings and sends how many times limited tools were used, with a random install id and the app version. If you ask for help, the mobile number and message you give are sent so that we can contact you. Problem reports you write are sent with the app version and phone model.
Bluetooth and USB
Used only to connect a device you choose, such as an RTK/GNSS receiver, over Bluetooth or USB. Location data from it stays on your phone in the same way as your own location. Nothing is sent anywhere else.
Storage
On Android 9 and older, the app asks for storage permission only to save exports you make (PDF, KMZ, DXF, images). Newer Android versions use the system file picker instead.
What we never do
No ads, no selling or sharing of your data, no tracking across apps.
Deleting your data
Land files and photos are deleted with the app or from inside it. To delete your FarukLabs account and its data, use faruklabs.com/account/delete?app=area-expert.

Area Expert
Google Play Services for AR (ARCore)
Bluetooth ও USB
