CoordLab Privacy Policy

CoordLab (Android, com.faruklabs.coordlab) is a GNSS RTK and total-station field survey app by FarukLabs (MD. OMAR FARUK). Updated: 21 October 2026.

What stays on your phone

  • Your jobs, points, coordinate systems, stakeout data, CAD drawings and exports are saved on your phone and are not uploaded.
  • Bluetooth is used only to talk to your own instrument (GNSS receiver or total station). On Android 11 and older, Android asks for location permission to scan for Bluetooth devices; CoordLab does not upload that location.

What goes to the FarukLabs server (faruklabs.com) and why

  • Account (optional): if you sign in with a FarukLabs account (email/phone and password, or Google), we keep your name, email or phone and a user ID. Sign-in is handled by Google Firebase Authentication.
  • Premium: your packages, their validity and Google Play purchase details (order ID, purchase token), only to verify and unlock premium.
  • Device: a random device ID created by the app (not a hardware ID), used for the signed-in device limit.
  • App settings: the app fetches feature switches, tool rules and notices; with these requests we receive the app version.
  • Problem reports: only when you send one — the topic, your message, the contact you give, the app version and the phone model.
  • Support sessions: only when you allow one — see below.

Support sessions

  1. What is collected: only during a support session you allowed — the data passing between CoordLab and your instrument (total station or GNSS receiver): what the instrument sends, the commands sent to it, the instrument's model and name, and the app version. GNSS receiver data includes your location.
  2. What is not collected: nothing else on your phone — no other apps, photos, contacts, messages or files, and not your jobs or point lists.
  3. When: only after you tick the terms and tap Allow (or start a session yourself), for the time shown (at most 24 hours). A banner shows while it runs and you can end it any time.
  4. Commands to your instrument: support may suggest a command. It reaches your instrument only when you tap Send, unless you chose "send all commands" for that one session.
  5. Why: to find problems with your instrument and to add support for new instruments in CoordLab.
  6. Who sees it: only authorised FarukLabs support staff. It is not sold, not used for advertising and not given to third parties.
  7. Storage and deletion: sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to FarukLabs servers and deleted automatically after 7 days. Ask support to delete it sooner.
  8. Your choices: turn off support requests in the app, decline any request, end a session any time, and ask for your session data to be deleted.
  9. Contact: use Help in the app menu (WhatsApp, email or call).

What we don't do

No ads, no selling of data, no sharing with others — except the services that run the app: Google Firebase, Google Play and the faruklabs.com server.

Deleting your account

In the app (Account → Delete account) or at faruklabs.com/account/delete. Data on your phone is removed when you uninstall the app.

  • সার্ভারে যায়: লগইন করলে নাম, ইমেইল/ফোন ও আইডি; প্রিমিয়াম ও Google Play কেনার তথ্য; অ্যাপের বানানো একটি র‍্যান্ডম ডিভাইস আইডি; আপনি পাঠালে সমস্যার রিপোর্ট।
  • সাপোর্ট সেশন: শুধু আপনার অনুমতি দেওয়া সেশন চলাকালে CoordLab আর আপনার যন্ত্রের (টোটাল স্টেশন বা GNSS রিসিভার) মধ্যে আদান-প্রদান হওয়া ডেটা — যন্ত্র যা পাঠায়, যন্ত্রে পাঠানো কমান্ড, যন্ত্রের মডেল ও নাম, অ্যাপের ভার্সন। GNSS রিসিভারের ডেটায় আপনার অবস্থান থাকে। ফোনের অন্য কিছুই নয় (অন্য অ্যাপ, ছবি, পরিচিতি, মেসেজ, ফাইল, জব বা পয়েন্ট নয়)। শর্তে টিক দিয়ে "অনুমতি দিন" চাপার পরই শুরু হয়, সর্বোচ্চ ২৪ ঘণ্টা; চলাকালে ব্যানার দেখা যায়, যেকোনো সময় বন্ধ করা যায়। প্রতিটি কমান্ড আপনি "পাঠান" চাপলে তবেই যায় (যদি না ওই সেশনে "সব কমান্ড পাঠাও" বেছে নেন)। শুধু FarukLabs-এর অনুমোদিত সাপোর্ট দল দেখে; বিক্রি বা তৃতীয় পক্ষকে দেওয়া হয় না। HTTPS-এ যায়, ৭ দিন পর নিজে থেকে মুছে যায়; আগে মুছতে চাইলে সাপোর্টকে বলুন।
